Other than getting Celtic Frost's Cold Lake on disc (anyone want totrade????), I am almost caught up on getting my back catalogue of artists and want to discover albums I have never heard.
Back in 1988/1989, on Noise Records' Doomsday News compilation, I heard a band named Scanner. I'm sure most are aware of them. What Scanner albums are good? Is it hard as crap to get my hands on them?

My fave are their first two albums. Cool heavy/speed metal with a happy edge.

I just heard them for the first time in probably 17 years. "Warp 7" from Hypertrace. They sound very much like early Rage (one of my favorites) mixed with early Helloween. Very nice mix.

I like all the Scanner cds including the one with the female on vocals!
Heard they were putting out a new cd but that was a few years back!

Terminal Earth is essential. The rest are good too, save for the one with the female singer.

Their first two albums are perfect. I ordered them on amazon uk recently.
Been spinning them non-stop lately.
Very underrated german power/speed metal.

That is cool news. I only found out about these guys a few years ago through NLTM and checked them out on YT and then quickly put them on the want list. I got lucky to find the first two last summer at a Newbury Comics in Boston for ten bucks each brand new. They were the Record Store day rereleases with bonuses. I dig em both but Hypertrace gets more spins than Terminal Earth.

Music right up my alley that I have sadly not had the chance to collect any. I need to change that.

It is a bit expensive on amazon. I'd rather wait a bit.

the amazon price isn't too bad. You could always buy from one of the sellers that way you don't get charged tax.
I got mine on ebay a while ago. Axel posted a link on facebook to their labels ebay store. I paid about the same price as amazon.

No song grabbed me so I'm sticking with first three, pretending there are no more albums by Scanner.
