I know that Lurideath does not like these guys but are there anybody who does. Good gothic metal (no female vocals) with clean and death vocals. I first heard these guys on my Monsters Of Metal DVDs and was hooked. Unfortunatly their albums are not easily availiable here in the states and for a long time I couldn't find them in stores (not even the metal mecca, Virgin Megastore). I finally got one earlier this year, Klagebilder which, if I got it when it was released last year it could have easily been in my top list. The only down side to this album is that it is completly in German so singing along is difficult, so I make up words that sound like the ones being sung (anybody know what Klagebilder means?).

I like them; though I only own two albums, and one of them I only got last week or so. I have Act Seven and just got ...Just Dreaming! through lala. Solid groovy death metal (for the most part). I wouldn't call them gothic metal at all, though. The clean singing lends it that tag, I guess, but they're more death metal to me, like Edge Of Sanity.
Maybe their other stuff is different, though. I like what I have; I know that.

The last few releases by them have a lot of keyboards that lend it that darkwave gothic flavor. This review of their previous album (the one befoe the one I have) tells it all:
i have transmigration, awake, act 7, & revolution. pretty decent gothic death stuff.

Hey, I won't argue it. Gothic death metal? How about that? Haha. You're right, too, in that their albums are hard to come by in the US.

I love that cover but it is too short. It is from the Tribute To The Four Horsemen from Nuclear Blast. I recommend it for everyone here. Sonata Arctica does Fade To Black and replaces the thrashy end with an erie and spooky outro that has the signature cold feeling SA is known for, Thunderstone does Sanitarium with a keyboard passage throughout (trust me they make it work), Dark Tranquility does a good melodic death version of My Friend Of Misery, and Therion opens Fight Fire With Fire with a orchestral intro and rips into a cover as fast and furious as the origional. Also on the album is Primal Fear, Anthrax, In Flames, Tankard, Sinner and some others.
