| Really quick fore i charge off to work. I dont know the name of the bass player for Manowar but he RIPS an awsome solo on the track "Guyana" on the live Hell on Stage album. The dude from Dream Theater also gets props for : going note for note and mabye even improvising on Cliff's "Orion" work on a Master of Puppets set they did live in Spain. I downloaded from a p2p an awsome live Solo from Cliff, one of the few i ever heard. However I dont have anyinfo on it and its been lost to computer wipes . Theres probably more but im in a hurry so I cant squeeze any more info from my warped brain =-) |

| Years ago, when they were touring for the "Black" album, I saw Metallica and Jason Newsted played a wicked bass solo before the band kicked into "Whiplash". I was very impressed that he could pull off a bass solo without being boring or repetitive. Also, on a G3 tour (Satriani, Vai & Johnson), the bass player, Stu Hamm did a solo and played the entire theme to Star Trek on bass. While they may not have been the "best" they certainly were memorable. | |

My personal Fav. Not only because he is good, but I love his style. A mixture of funk and rock |
