Overthrow

Anyone other than me familiar with this obscure brutal technical thrash metal band from Scarborough, Ontario? They released one album and split up. Very cool stuff in the vein of Sadus and Demolition Hammer. Great musicians, it would have been cool to have a second album. However, they came out at a time when there were so many thrash bands (their only album, Within Suffering, was released in 1990), so they went unnoticed. If the album came out a few years earlier, or was released a decade later (when thrash began to make a comeback), it may have been more recognized. A cool band who deserves to be much better known than they are.

Freakin' LOVE that disc! I wish I could get an original of it, but at least I've got a cd-r with scans of the covers for right now.

I have the original. Took forever to get it at a reasonable price, though ($24).

That's awesome. The sole album they made sold for over $200 two or three years ago on eBay.

The only song I've heard of Overthrow is Suppression on M.E.A.T. Raw Compilation 2 - a killer! (but not Razor )
