That's the original. A few years back, Dave re-released it and replaced Lee's vocals with his own. Added some more guitar parts as well. Worth looking for if you're a Megadeth fan. I personally didn't care much for the original, but when Dave disbanded Megadeth and was supposedly quitting the biz because of nerve damage to his arm, it looked like that was the end of any new music, so to me, the re-release was like hearing a whole new Megadeth album. P.S. I never believed for a second that Dave Mustaine was going to walk away from the music business forever, injury or not. EDIT: Shouldn't this be in the new addition/collectors corner section?

Which version of MD.45 did you pick up? The remaster I believe has Mustain on vocals, while the original had Lee Ving on vocals. ult _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I knew of the remixing, but I didn't realize Dave re-did the vocals either... This ranks higher on my priority list now. I've always intended to get it, but I've never been in any rush. - MetalGuy71 wrote:

Yeah, I always felt that was more of a stunt than anything else.

Yeah, I always felt that was more of a stunt than anything else. When Mustaine was re-mixing/re-mastering all the old Megadeth albums, he re-did this one as well. The story as I remember it was that the master tapes with Lee Ving's vocals and harmonica was lost, so Dave re-did the vocals and replaced harmonica with gee-tar.

Dave Mustaine (DM, reversed) and Lee Ving, of the punk band Fear, (LV or 45 in Roman numerials) did a project together some years ago called MD.45. Dave provided the music, Lee provided vocals. I forget what other musicians were involved. I don't think Dave Ellefson played bass and I think Jimmy DeGrasso was on drums, but I could be mistaken. I'm guessing it was music that Dave put together with Megadeth in mind, but decided to get Lee to sing instead. I remember hearing it once when it originally came out, but didn't care for it. I do like the re-make with Dave's voice. Some of the songs are very Mega-sounding, some are not, but overall it's a good listen.
