Iona

Nowhere near a metal band, Iona plays a celtic rock/new age type of music with jazz undertones.

Any fans here? I really like them and have been into them since their first album back in the early 90s. I think "Journey Into the Morn" is my favorite, but their debut was quite good too (as is all their stuff).

Love Journey Into The Morn. Their other music is good as well but my favortie song without question is the first song I ever heard from them: Woven Cord from Open Sky, that song is majestic, beautyful, and it leads perfectly into Day After Day which is almost just as good. The most appealing aspect of Iona is the voice of Joanna Hogg which could "charm the very leaves off a tree".

Yes! Joanna Hogg has a great voice!!!

Glad to see another fan of the band. There certainly aren't many out there (at least in metal circles heheh).

I also think David Bainbridge is quite a good guitarist and just a fantastic musician all round.

I like Iona, I bought a CD awhile back I was looking to expand on my Christian catalog for my radio show at the time, havent listened to it in awhile....

Addy, which album do you have? This is a great band, one that gets better with each new spin.
