Well, we can make the official announcement. After nearly 5 years of headbanging, gigging and touring, Tykkus met has decided to call it quits.

We want to thank everyone who has supported and prayed for the band over the years, and it was great meeting some of you face to face at some of the shows and festivals. It has definitely been a gas.

That is really sad. So does this mean you're moving to New Mexico to join Ultimatum?

I think part of the reason is that Dale decided to join Letter 7. I know there was other stuff that is nothing more than normal internal band struggles, but I think Dale was one of the big deciding factors.

I heard rumor (from a good source) that Brian (bass) may be forming a new band with a singer that recently moved to Phoenix from my hometown.

Justin has been performing with Ultimatum.

Either way, I'm sorry to see Tykkus fold. They were a really good live band. Most of all, I wanted to hear a full length album.

Now if we could just convince Justin to move to Albuquerque. We have big celebrities here too. Shoot not long ago, Bugs Bunny was here.

I wouldn't say any one particular thing made this happen, just life in general. I guess when it is time then it is time. Everyone is at peace with the way it's turned out so that's always a good thing.

Brian said that he was going to finish mixing the few songs we'd recorded earlier this year, and we'll probably throw them up on the Myspace and I'll fix it so that they can be downloaded if anyone wants to burn a hard copy of it. Will just have to see how they turn out ... I'm in the dark too, it's been since June since I heard them!
