I never owned the Shotgun Messiah album, but I’ve heard the song “Heartbreak Blvd” many times. It’s better and heavier than that LA Guns album. Hollywood Vampires is okay, but it’s too polished and “poppy”.
I gotta go with Shotgun Messiah.

Shotgun Messiah. My friends and I wore that tape out back in the day. A much stronger album than L.A. Guns.

I dig the LA Guns album to an extent. They did too much of that one thing and not enough of the other stuff. If that makes any sense?
The Shotgun Messiah has attitude, humor, and excellent guitar work (IMHDO)

I had a guitarist friend that told me about all the buzz bands from the old Hollywood strip days. Shotgun Messiah is one of them (although they are transplants from Sweden). He is also the guy that introduced me to Racer X. He said Shotgun’s guitarist Harry Cody used a metal guitar pick. The guy definitely was of the shred persuasion.

I’m a huge fan of this album. The song writing - and different styles of arrangements ! I thinks it’s better than their self title. They were at their height - without question.

I’m changing my vote to LA Guns. I like more songs from their album and Phil Lewis is a much better singer than the Shotgun dude.
