Yeah, I used to love that song. It's one of the best videos ever made, in my opinion. Especially considering the time it came out, where that sort of thing was not all computer-generated.

it helps that davey draiman sounds exactly like phil collins. i like disturned in a weird "oh i shud hate them cos there nu!" kind of way

I used to see that Genesis vid on MTV all the time back in the day. I think those "Spitting Image" puppets even had their own show on British TV back then (they may have tried to import it to America too, but I don't think it took off; I don't rightly remember...) Always thought the video was hilarious, even though the puppets are ugly as hell

Spitting image was a huge tv programme on british tv in the 1980's which is why they were used in the video due to its political nature

I don't really like it... Not because its them or anything... it just doesn't sound right. Just like Slayer covering Born To Be Wild.

D.C. Follies was the U.S. version. I used to love that show as a kid though the political humor went right over my head. I'm actually surprised those things didn't give me nightmares - I actually find them rather creepy in a way.

Yeah, that cover made me buy the album... the whole album is pretty good too.
