1. Heaven and Hell (1980) 2. Holy Diver (1983) 3. Rainbow Rising (1976) 4. Mob Rules (1981) 5. The Last in Line (1984) 6. Long Live Rock 'n' Roll (1978) 7. Dream Evil (1987) 8. Sacred Heart (1985) 9. Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (1975)
Some major label debut for Ronnie that was. A special album. I have great memories listening to this when I first got into Rainbow (late 90's). It was my favourite Rainbow disc for a long time. It ranks at the exact middle of Dio's catalogue, coming in at 9 out of 17.
Now let's round out the Top 10.

My last vote in all this is for the Black Sabbath album. Do not own, nor have heard any of the remaining stuff to the best of my knowledge.

I'll say it - you're missing out.
Besides, The Devil You Know is a Black Sabbath album, only with a different logo on the cover.

Maybe... Maybe not
By the late 80's, (IMHDO) Dio musically/lyrically was wash...rinse...repeat, and the guitar players brought nothing "interesting" to the table. So the 90's and beyond, with that style of metal being kicked to the curb, a safe bet would be... Revisiting the past with the help falling way short of the task, or they were trend hopping? Neither is in my wheelhouse of being quality activity time, maybe ignorance is bliss applies here?

How do you know that if you "Do not own, nor have heard any of the remaining stuff to the best of my knowledge."? Like Lari said, you're missing out.
Anyways, I voted for Dehumanizer. Great album, but could easily have gone with most any of the remaining albums.

Doug Aldrich does not fall short at all, he is one of my guitar heroes, and as for the trend hopping, Tracy G did what had to be done pretty damn well. A heavier "modern" Dio worked out okay in the 90s, despite little commercial success.
I truly believe 90's and 00's Dio is worth exploring. There is nothing bad or embarrassing there.

Process of elimination
Goldy average player, performer, and song writer (IMHDO) Which led to total rehaul of band, if memory serves .edu correctly? Then it was "trying" Sabbath again.
All that in 5 years, basically 3 different off ramps to nowhere. (IMHDO)
Just looked and seen the album Dio did after the failed Sabbath trip was another overhaul in players and writers... Back to Goldy... Alcrich... and Goldy again.
Lots of strikes going on there. Glad you enjoy them I had no interest then, nor do I now.

That's hardly relevant, considering he didn't write songs for Dio. Ronnie and Jimmy Bain were the songwriters.

Aldrich has co -writes on 2 of 10 tunes on "Killing The Dragon" So he DID write songs for Dio
