Now this is one of the hard ones! So many S's.
The contenders:
Shinedown - they don't know how to write a bad song. They are prolific.
Stryper - Their highs are really high, but they have a lot of filler and stupid ballads.
Septic Flesh - Man, they are so good at what they do. Catchy, infectious.
Sonata Arctica - When on-point they are truly amazing. Super melodic, fast, everything. They've been hit or miss though the last 15 years.
Sacred Steel - I absolutely love their style, vocals, speed, heaviness...but their last few they've taken a weird satanic turn.
Shylmagoghnar - Melodic celestial Death Metal - they give me a felling I can't explain...worshipful even though they aren't a Christian band as far as I know. Only two albums.
The hardest cuts yet. I think because of their absolute consistency the winner is:

Saw the “Sweet Dreams” tour. They were the opener. Bought Metalized…at first thought it was just okay…..rowdy…. I gave the record to a friend - who lived in another state. Four weeks later I visited him - he thanked me and thanked me ? Was he putting me on ? Then we listened together. Wowza. One of those records you easily know all the lyrics and riffs. Another pal and I got high and belted it out at his place. His wife was high too “ who’s this” ? Great party album.

If I liked any albums by them after say 1984, it would be Scorpions. Savatage is up there too. But it is Saxon for me... Very consistent over the years (IMHDO)
