Hammerhawk - Welcome Home, We Expected You on ebay

Here's another gem from the highly collectible Overdrive label (the others were two Vulture, Usurper and a hardcore band Doppelangers). I guess that this one's the most common (don't know about that Doppelangers, though).

I dont have that cd but i have their BREAKS LOOSE mini album, THE FUTURE(WRITEN IN THE PAST) on cd from 99 and WAR/HEAVY METAL FOREVER on a 7"single. At least the stuff i have by the band, i like it. NWOBHM mixed with MOTORHEAD sounding metal.

I might end up bidding on that. Have to see how money goes this week...

Here's the information from Paul (Hammerhawk guitar player):

The Doppelgangers album on Overdrive was Locked up, i think it was a live album, they
released some more later on Top Hole records
that was also a label of Via , Via and Catmusic were the owners of Overdrive
records.
They were distributed by Virgin records in Europe
Doppelgangers started out as metal/ crossover and later had 2 rappers in the band,...
Well, as you can guess, i hate rap...

I dont know exactly how many cd were pressed, they never informed the bands.
As far as i know 10.000 copy's were made worldwide.
We had to buy our own cd's from them for 7,50 guilders ...

Not sure if I'll even try to get this one, maybe if I find it somewhere for 5 dollars

Cool, thanks a lot! Yah, I'll probably pick it up if I find it for cheap, but it's definitely not going to be one I spend a lot to obtain.

So did you get your copy of Welcome Home straight from the former guitarist?

I was actually emailed once by Mac from Vulture and he thanked me for the review I wrote on Easier To Lie at Metal-Archives.

Yeah, he found my want list and offered me original pressings of Welcome Home and Breaks Loose for 25 EUR, but then he also sent The Future Written in the Past for free All three signed, of course hehe

Didn't you ask him if he still has some Fatal Games CDs for sale?

Yup, I sure did. He didn't have any copies to sale (only had his own copy of it). He tried contacting some of the other band members, but never had any luck.

Yup, that's me. It's just a combo of my first initial and my wife's first initial (and out last name, obviously). I wasn't even going to bid on that other Hammerhawk auction 'cause Kurt was going for it. Soon as I saw him get beaten out I decided to see if I could land it.

I didn't know you were interested in that Cromok disc sovdat. Not too many people even KNOW about that band. I'm freakin' DYING to hear it, as I've heard they play 80's thrash mixed with some cool oriental licks here and there.
