I wonder why he chose to call his solo project the pre-VH moniker Mammoth? Because he seems to want to distance himself from his father’s shadow and the VH sound. Maybe it’s a inside joke like “Wolfie Mammoth” Aka Woolly Mammoth.
That said... the kid did alright. It’s not bad for a first solo project.

Remember Metal Rob? This is starting to sound like his dream album. It’s basically Alter Bridge and Chevelle meets RATM and Tool.

I had some free time at work today. Checked out 6-7 songs. I’m not buying it. No way. Kind of made me sad. PEOPLE magazine has him on their next cover. Like Julian Lennon, I suppose.

Wolf keeps saying he’s a big fan of heavy stuff like Meshuggah and Periphery. I’m hoping he’ll go more in a metal direction for his next album. But his current album is pretty good for a debut.
