Car stereos

I’m looking to replace my stock 2012 Toyota car stereo with an upgrade. Does anyone have any recommendations under $200? Maybe $300... Any former electronics sales “tech savvy” people? I need it to have a CD player.

I prefer something more geared for rock/metal. Most modern players are hip-hop thick bass oriented. Is there any brands with a balanced sound? I heard Pioneer and Kenwood are good. There is a Sony that is priced decent.

Check out Crutchfields website. That’s the last place I dealt with on car audio. They’re great for getting the installation kits with harnesses too. It’s been a few years since I bought one but I went with JVC. They’ve really upgraded on the quality end and won’t cost you an arm and leg. I’ve always been partial to Pioneer as well. Good luck!

I’ll check it out. I forgot about JVC...

I only just started my search. As of now, I’m looking at the Sony MEXN4380BT.

I might have one I can give ya. It's old, and doesn't have Bluetooth or even a usb port, but it was about four hundred bucks when I bought it new. Still works, but not sure where it is. Moving three times in five years, things tend to go missing. If you're interested, let me know and I'll see if I can find it.
