My new YouTube series

I based my new YouTube series on Trainwreckords, a series by a YouTuber who goes by the name of Todd in the Shadows. He was discussed in a thread in the "Let the Music Do the Talking" forum.

Anyways, my new series is sort of like that, although a bit more serious in tone (Todd in the Shadows incorporates more humor into his videos). It's about albums that derailed the careers of metal bands.

Anyways, I just uploaded a new video in the series. This is the third in the series, and discusses Cryptopsy - The Unspoken King. Cryptopsy is a Canadian death metal band, and on The Unspoken King, they tried to mix death metal with...emo? Surprise, surprise; the fans were disgusted, and Cryptopsy's career has more or less been derailed ever since.

I’m not a death metal guy, but I don’t shy away from it.

Have you checked out the 1992 EP Inhuman Condition? The pressing of From Beyond that I own includes the EP as bonus tracks.

I have finally uploaded the new installment for my Catalog Cripplers series.

In this episode, I discuss the Slovakian band Gladiator, and their 1994 release Third Eye.

Gladiator started out as a thrash metal band in the vein of classic Sepultura. Their debut album, 1992's Designation and 1993's Made of Pain, are very vicious thrash metal albums.

Then, in 1994, they released Third Eye. This album has nothing to do with the sound from the first two albums, and has more in common with bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Bush.

Seriously, did the band REALLY think this was what fans of the first two albums were wanting?
