As individual artists, Malmsteen is better at playing guitar than King Diamond is a singer... but if you’re talking about King Diamond’s albums vs Malmsteen’s albums... KD wins.

It is a strange pairing, but I've heard that King Diamond is an excellent guitarist. Pretty sure I read somewhere that he has had to show Andy how he wanted some stuff played during the recording process. Not say King is a better guitarist than Malmsteen, but he's supposedly pretty good.

I was looking at this poll as “a singer vs a guitar virtuoso”. But then I thought maybe it’s about the albums, not the individuals. In that case, King Diamond (the band) is better!

Went Yngwie. Just because I happen to have picked up one of his cds, The Seventh Sign, earlier this afternoon.

Was on my way back home, and made a quick stop at a small record shop. Also picked up Deceased The Blueprints for Madness and Sodom's Marooned live.

Felt good being in a record shop again.

After 60 pages - I decided it’d be a fun pairing.
Hank Sherman / Denner - were a force to be reckoned with.
Malmsteen also practiced non stop. Had occult beginnings.
I love both - closely - but the nudge goes to K.D.
