All these guitar hero polls, and not one about what I feel is without a doubt one of the best and unfortunately overlooked guitarists there ever has been. What's up with that???? Yeah, I cast me vote for Alex, who's with me?

But, a far as all of the so-called "guitar heroes" polls being posted? Lari will make it correct. Alex and Scott Ian must be coming soon.

I think Alex, and Buck Dharma are criminally overlooked guitar greats.

Being the guitarist of Rush is a bit of a drag considering you have the best drummer ever and the best bass player ever in your group already. How do you even stand out?

I didn't think of Lifeson, but I did consider Mick Box from Uriah Heep. I love his guitar work.

The Guitar Heroes polls was just something I thought of after a couple of lagers (after kids went to bed), while listening to some amazing guitar solos. It's not a big deal to be included or omitted, I just wanted to spark conversation. So far all the pairings are pretty even, except for the Zakk Wylde one.

I would third that notion of AL being a guitar hero. Just listen to the opening of "A Passage to Bangkok" and try not to have it stuck in your head for the nest hour. I like the polls, Lari. We gotta get the boys from Priest and Maiden in there and my underrated mate. Mr. Paul Quinn!

Speaking of guitars and solos, I was listening to my new Metallica live set and there is a brief guitar solo before one of the songs, and I would swear they play the opening riff of Prowler. Thought that was cool.
