| Visions of Disorder, Picked up their first 2 the other day cheap, Has anybody here ever heard them? Kinda like 311 vocals mixed with screaming over hardcore/borderline thrash at times music. The mix works pretty well for them, I kinda like it. | |

| I've got the still ep, and the self titled disc. Decent stuff, but nothing I play on a regular basis. | |

Um...311 vocals? No way, bro! That's like saying Cannibal Corpse sounds like Barry Manilow vocals mixed with heavy guitars. Haha. I confess, I am actually good friends with the guys in 311, and a big fan, so maybe I'm biased or something. But I don't think the vocals sound even remotely alike. And honestly, I'm not sure you'll find a good comparison to the vocals. Tim's voice is pretty unique, I think. Dude, his scream at the beginning of "Element" is one of the baddest screams I've heard. It's blood-curdling! Love it! So yeah, I'm a big fan of the band. Every album is excellent, in my opinion. If you continue to dig these albums, check out Bloodsimple, Tim's new band (since VOD has broken up). http://www.myspace.com/vodhardcore (listen to "Element" here) http://www.myspace.com/bloodsimple |
