It’s a toss up between No Prayer for the Dying and Fear of the Dark, but I’m going with No Prayer because it was my first Maiden album (nostalgia) and I actually liked the somewhat more “loose” rock n roll approach.

Plus Tailgunner and Holy Smoke are among some of my favorite Maiden songs! I assume Janick brought his influence to this album. His previous band was Gillan.

I'm surprised by the lack of interest in Dance of Death. The band has tended to promote the title track as the standout on that album, but there are a number of tracks that I think are outstanding: namely, "No More Lies"; "Gates of Tomorrow"; and "Rainmaker."
