Musically it's pretty badass, but I think the singer is trying to hard. He's good, but feel he uses the high scream too much. On my a song and a half in though, maybe it will grow on me. Definitely killer musicianship.

I knew this thread was going to be about Riot City.

I came across this the other day on Bandcamp and then listened to it on Spotify. Pretty apt description.

Great band too.

Also, Riot City sounds more like it'd be the name of a current Swedish 80s-styled glam band.

I wouldn't put city in my name but hey, they are getting noticed.

These guys are next on my want list. I already own four of their songs on the Masters of Metal Volume I compilation.

It made me think of Riot, who named their debut album Rock City.

I actually like it better after hearing it a second time. I was going to buy a copy, but couldn't find it for under twenty bucks plus shipping. I like it, but not twenty five dollars worth. Maybe I'll check around some more and see if I can get it cheaper.

I'm hoping someone picks it up so it's not just an import.
