New Rainbow tune

It's a remake of an old Rainbow song but sounds pretty good with the new singer.

Not bad, but it's weird not hearing RJD's mighty pipes though. Thanks for the heads up, MIke.

Oh I had no idea it was a remake. I thought it sounded like a Dio style Rainbow song. I'll have to look up the original, I like this one so I am sure I'll like the original better

That's from my favourite Rainbow album.

Sounds very different. Not bad, but lacks punch.

It's ok but I prefer the original.

Yes as far as I know. He's still singing for Rainbow.

For a truly new tune from the current incarnation of Rainbow, you have to pick up last year's live album Memories in Rock II. Tacked on at the end is a new studio song 'Waiting for a Sign'.

I've listened to this a few times, it's ok.

I grabbed that last year. It's good. I do like his voice as it has it's own character but he does justice to the RJD and JLT tunes in a live setting.

It's good but nowhere near as good as the original version.

Agreed. I find it to be very lackluster.

Yeah as a new Rainbow track I find it pretty meh.

But you know what? 

Tone down the electric elements, add a mandolin here and there and put Candice Night on vocals and you'd have a great Blackmore's Night track.

I wonder if it was written for that orginally?

I have to agree with toho, I bet this was originally written for Blackmore's Night, and Blackmore shoehorned it as a Rainbow track, love Blackmore but I do not think he is inspired to write metal/hard rock tunes anymore, I believe he loves revisiting his old songs but maybe in his mid 70's, he does not wish to write these types of tunes.

I know the singer is from Chile, but I never noticed much of an accent from him in past performances. On this new tune, he sounds like he's singing the lyrics very phonetically and pronounced.

Like the guy from Loudness. It was clear that English was not his first language. That's what Romero sounds like here.
