So my wife and I were playing Rock Band and this song started playing on the menu screen. I was absolutely floored but couldn't find any immediate info on the band. Turns out the song isn't even available on Rock Band! Anyway, we Shazammed it and came up with this most stellar and heavy thing. It's really hard to describe the album this track is from, but it blew my mind. Any more info on this band would be welcome.

Not bad. Reminds me of a great band from Chicago that I saw open for Helmet once called Admiral of Black.

Local band to me. They kick ass. That song is from their Shadow Hymns album, currently their only full-length. They put out a 4-song covers EP last year, where they cover The Who, The Oath, Uriah Heep, and Pink Floyd.
Either way, great band. Definitely check them out further.

Damn I wish I could go further than the EP and Shadow Hymns. What a ride of an album! They still active? Get these blokes back in the studio!

Yeah, they're still around. The EP came out last year, and their new album is ready to be released. Not sure when, though. But it's done. =)
