Haunt

Just saw these boys again in town and they were even better than before with Trevor in full health and a bit of a belly this time. Talk about a classic heavy metal show! Denim and leather and patches, oh my. My neck is still sore from all the headbanging (I got front row at one of the monitors so there was a lot of banging moments I got to share with both Trevor and John). John is an absolute shredder in the CLASSIC sense, a la Randy Rhoads. The new album is a bit more aggressive, really good stuff.

Not my video but here's the show in its entirety (I know I owe you guys pics from the last concert but I'm lazy when it comes to that stuff haha). See the bald dude stage right wearing a bandana? That's my buddy; I'm right beside him on the other side, thinning hair flying around et al (not to be confused with the curly top kid next to me).

I can't keep track of this guy. New Haunt album is coming out in a few months. Think this song has been out there for a while now, but I first heard it last night. So damn good! Easily one of the best Church has written.

That new song is really good. I need to start adding this band to my collection.

Sadly, I heard yesterday that Trevor is pulling the plug on Haunt by the end of the year.

They also have a "new" album out now called Triumph.

However, it only consists of re-recorded songs from their Luminous Eyes and Mosiac Vision EPs.

Can't believe i still don't own any albums by Haunt.

I don't know if that was ever true. Seems that Haunt is his main focus at the moment. He ended Beastmaker to focus on it, after all. And they have a new album coming out on April 2 called Beautiful Disaster. He's also been talking about starting a record club, where he puts out a 7" every other month or whatever, so I don't see them ending any time soon. =)

I had heard some stuff that indicated that he was ending Haunt, but I'm glad to hear that's not true after all.

I ordered the most recent album, Beautiful Disaster, earlier today.

What happened to corplhicks? I thought it was strange that he didn’t chime in when Mike Howe died. He loved that guy.
