Anyone else watch Bird Box on Netflix yet? I saw it the other day and enjoyed it for what it was. Kind of a non-zombie end of the world type movie.

Yep, saw it New Year's Eve day. Apparently some horror geeks are hatin' on it but I thought it was a decent watch.

Their main complaint (aside from the usual "it's not scary blah blah") is that the concept is apparently quite similar to "A Quiet Place," but I haven't seen that flick so I don't know how accurate that assessment is.

I watched it and liked it. The similarity to A Quiet Place didn't bother me since I didn't see that one either (but knew the concept of it).

I liked it. Sort of a blend/take on A Quiet Place and The Happening....but I enjoyed it.

I saw The Happening when it first came out, there's definitely a similarity between it and Bird Box.

I thought the wheels completely fell off The Happening at around the halfway point, though. Bird Box did a much better job maintaining the suspense.

I haven't seen it and I don't know that I will. Not really my cup of tea, but I was surprised when I saw a headline that Netflix claimed 'Bird Box' received 45 million views and I had never heard of it.

Watched it last night. Was better than I was expecting, but still not all that great. Definitely better than The Happening and that Silent place movie everyone says they ripped off for this movie.
