That was hilarious! Those "songs" are just freakin' awful; a collection of tuneless rap combined with auto-tuned nonsense.
I liked that parting comment about Greta Van Fleet too. C'mon, do they really say they don't sound like Led Zeppelin?

It just shouldn't come as a shock anymore, but it still does. I can't believe how simplistic people's standards are when it comes to music and how Hip-Hop is leading that caravan by a country mile! I get it with African-American youth, but young white kids are the ones who help promulgate this shit. I love R&B, but I can't for the life of me understand the fascination with artists, who are by all accounts stupid. If they weren't rapping, they would be asking, "Do you want fries with that" or something far worse. I said it! Then again, all of this stuff (not music) is just a microcosm of society. I heard one of my employees at work talking about the latest Rap/Hip-Hop feud and how the artist released a single within a few days of this feud happening. I acted like I didn't hear the conversation. I just shook my head and walked away. But that's the world we've lived in for a while now. Think about this, how easy is it to go into a studio and just bang this stuff out within a few hours and call it art? That's what they do! It literally makes you dumber, the more you listen to it. I felt like my brain cells were dying that whole time.
It's funny how Buckley brings up the 80's and how people need to stop thinking that decade was the be all, end all when it came to music. I will state this, think about how much pop culture lately has been celebrated, when it comes to the 80's lately. There's a reason for that. You can strip down the decade and think of the worst (whether it be music or film/TV), but when you stack it up against other decades, one says to themselves, "Wow, the stuff I thought was shit, isn't as bad as the shit from other decades which have followed". Put it this way, I will be surprised in 20 years (if I'm around) to see a celebration of anything, let's say post 2010 and that's being generous.
I just saw this on Joe Rogan's podcast a few days ago. I remember the inane banter from certain Glam bands in the 80's (Decline of Western Civilization Part II) back in the 80's and it made me cringe. They sounded like fucking road scholars compared to these two.

The part Buckley had where he tore apart 6ix9ine (a.k.a. Tekashi69) was hilarious.

I was looking very forward to seeing what Buckley would rip apart in 2019, but he sadly won't be doing a "Worst Songs of 2019" video. I was immensely saddened to hear that.

I wonder why. Or was it due to so many awful songs he couldn't decide what to put on his list?

Apparently, he got in trouble from some of the record labels that artists who have made Buckley's past videos are signed to. Buckley even had to temporarily take down a couple of them, but it looks like the pressure from the labels has prevented him from making any more annual "10 Worst Songs" videos.
It's a real shame, as I love every one of his annual "10 Worst Songs" videos, and was looking very forward to finding out what songs he'd tear to shreds this time around.

Update: it looks like there will be a "10 Worst Songs of 2019" video after all. However, it won't be up in mid-December, like it usually is. Still, it'll come out eventually, and I can't wait to see the video when it's finally out.
