Twisted Tower Dire vs Cage

Two American power metal bands that have kept the fire burning.

Which one do you prefer?

I've recently got into both, and still only own two CDs by each band. The Isle of Hydra & Crest of the Martyrs by the Dire, and Darker than Black & Hell Destroyer by Cage. Not sure I have a favourite just yet. It's just all really good music.

Tough poll there my friend. I recently completed my TTD discography, but i only own two cage albums so far.

I've only heard Cage so I guess they get my vote.

TTD by default.

Haven't heard enough stuff from either one to make a decision (shrugs)

Imo those are the best two albums by each band but I voted TTD. Cage went into everything having to be uber fast and non stop screaming mode.

Cage based on Hell Destroyer alone, which is one of my top-10 albums ever.

Easily TTD.

Twisted Tower Dire has a better overall cataog. Cage has a couple of good albums, but they frequently lapse into boring, monotonous, power metal cliches.

I only own darker than black and ancient evil from the Cage catalogue. Both are awesome.

Still listening to TTD. I am unable yet to properly rank their discography.

It's been 4 years. Maybe you can now rank the Dire catalogue?

I've been thinking of picking up Cage's Supremacy of Steel.

Also, this poll is still close, in case someone hasn't voted.

I am a fan of both bands and own a good chunk of both band's discography. I voted Cage, but could have easily chosen TTD.
I swear I voted way back when, but I guess I did not.

Actually, i now have the entire Cage discography, and i find it to be overall better than TTD's.
