Ripper is going to handle the lead vocals in the upcoming Tourniquet album (except in one song that duty goes to Deen Castronovo). I'm sure people have been pretty interested in hearing how he's going to sound and fit in Tourniquet song. So, Ted has now released a second single off the new album and we can finally hear Ripper with Tourniquet.
In my opinion he sounds great and he even goes for the high-pitched screaming in the background layers, but for some reason I hoped he would've gone crazier with the vocals. Or maybe that's a mixing issue. I would've loved to hear those high-pitch vocals be the main singing style here instead of being one of the background layers. Oh well, I'll take what they offer!
Also it would've been great to hear that FAST part near the beginning to make a second appearance.
That was dissapointing.. Luke Easter is a so much better fit for this band IMO. Did not know he was out of the band. I was hoping for a real Tourniquet album since the last one, with all the different singers, also was very meh.... I think Ripper lacks emotion and soul, even if he is technically better than Luke i suppose.
With Ripper being hired for this album, I was sorta expecting a return to the STB type material with the high pitch screams. Maybe there will be some good songs... I have yet to hear the full album.
