I used to have Ministry's Psalm 69 but it was a scratched-to-hell used copy that skipped like crazy, so I chucked it. I'm always on the lookout for it when I go thrift-store CD diving.

One of my college friends was biggy into KMFDM, he'd play them on the car stereo everywhere we went. I dunno, I could dig the heavy riffing and the drum beats but after awhile it just turned to repetitive mush...two or three songs in I'd be like "Didn't you play this one already?"

I'd suggest the "Nihil" album by KMFDM.  I now have about a dozen albums by the band and I still think that one is the best.  It's more melodic than a lot of their other albums which I agree do get real "samey" fast.

As for Ministry I'd suggest keeping an eye open for "Land of Rape and Honey" and "A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste" as well as "Psalm 69".  Most people agree those are their 3 best.

Ken Hensley - Running Blind


I've got a bunch of Ken Hensley (ex Uriah Heep) solo albums in my stash to listen to and to then choose if I'm going to keep them or if they're going to flea market.

Can't believe an album that was made in 2002 by an old rock star and that has an album cover that has zero excitement going on for it is actually pretty damn fantastic!

I in fact chose to listen to it now to just get over with it and thought it's 100% sure I'm not going to keep it, but damn this one is going to my CD shelf immediately.

The first song took me off guard by being some melancholic orchestra piece that I liked a lot and the second is amazing instrumental track, and the next three songs are damn catchy minor key hard rockers. Then becomes a few songs that don't interest me at all, but with Free Spirit my full attention is back and now as there are a couple of songs left I have a feeling my attention will stay high for the rest of the album.

This is actually better than any of the actual Uriah Heep albums I have heard so far :O
It sounds great and sounds as if it could've been recorded in 1980-1984. I'd say it would've even been quite a hit back then.
