While they've never been as heavy, Valkyrie sounds exactly like The Sword at times. And vice versa, I guess, since they've been around for as long. In fact, their early years almost mirrored each other. Both bands released a handful of demos, starting in 2003, and their debut full-length in 2005, then a follow-up in 2008. Valkyrie has only released one album since then, but if you dig The Sword, definitely check them out.
