I recently thought about these two releases. And thought it's be fun to see who picked what - Creatures - has always held a dark winter vibe for me. But Lick It Up - has a faster tougher street vibe.

Creatures. It's my favorite Kiss album. I think Lick It Up is really good but I don't really like the singles from the album.

Creatures is my favorite KISS album. And it has their heaviest song, War Machine.

Like 'em both but "Creatures" is more badass.

Creatures Of The Night is a wicked album, not a weak track on there IMHO.

Creatures Of The Night but Lick It Up is a damn fine album in its own right. I will say though that I prefer Animalize over Lick It Up and like it as much as the aforementioned Creatures Of The Night.

Creatures...by far. I never cared much for Lick It Up for the brief time I owned a copy.

It has been soooo freakin long since i last played me some Kiss. I am always busy discovering new music and playing new albums to the point where i totally forget classic gems. Will try to catch up during Christmas holidays.

I'm with ya there. Animalize was always my favorite as a teenager.

They were an afterthought for me too for a long time. In recent years though they've become one of my favorites.

I like "Lick It Up", but I love "Creatures of the Night"! It was my first KISS album ever and everything about it is perfect, from the great cover art, to the heaviness, to the production and unbelievable drum sound. It's so weird to think that the tour was such a disaster. Had the defections of both Criss and Frehley taken place a few years prior, I think the appreciation for this album might be much different. Creatures is my favorite KISS album.
