| Admittedly, I have not heard much of the 90's-Motorhead. I am definately from the Iron Fist/Orgasmatron school. Anyways, I got this cool 3 track single in a trade and was shocked by this track. First of all, it is a ballad. Second, it is a very serious song about one of society's most disturbing crimes. Third, it is very well done! I had no idea that Lemmy had any kind of social conscience whatsoever. You guys ever heard it? Thoughts? Are there any other similarly un-Motorhead Motorhead tunes? |

| Great song. Weird subject matter. However, to answer the question, yes, Lemmy has done a bit of experimenting over the years and released songs outside of their normal sound. Although obviously not 'socially conscious' the song Whorehouse Blues is an acoustic based blues number that is quite good.
The album "Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me" comes off of ("Bastards") is a solid album. It's one of the more difficult Motorhead releases to find as it was on a pretty obscure label. Also, 1916, is a great CD and was the album that came out before "Bastards". _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Working outside of Motorhead, Lemmy did a project with Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats and another guy (whose name escapes me at the moment) that was all rock-a-billy cover tunes. It's called "Lemmy & Friends: Rock N Roll Forever". It's way outside of any Motorhead material with allot of acoustic guitar, stand-up bass and harmonica. They cover songs from Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Elvis, etc. Real "roots of rock n roll" stuff. Since I'm a fan of Lemmy, the Stray Cats and rock-a-billy music in general, this was a no-brainer get for me but I could see how some Motorhead fans would be turned off by it. This would certainly fall into the "un-Motorhead-like" category. | |

| I think I've read that Lemmy wrote i9t with someone else in mind. Maybe Ozzy? He did several songs for No More Tears. But he then decided to record it on his own. _________________ | |
