Rad. I know a lot of people I show his music to just say he's a Bob Dylan knock-off, but I think it's only a superficial similarity most of the time. He's got a very distinctive guitar-style and a keen knack for writing melodies that aren't as rambly as Dylan could be.

I agree with that. He has just as much Tom Petty in his vocal inflections as he does Dylan but even though he is Dylan-esque his vocals are definitely more focused. It's like comparing a flashlight to a laser.

That's a good analogy, for sure. Just like with Dylan, though, I've had many people l try to introduce TTMOE to say they hate his voice, or just don't get it. Their loss.

Local news announced a free concert by Gin Blossoms this summer and said there's going to be a new album.  They were playing "Hey Jealousy" in the background during the whole story and that got me in the mood to listen to this one yet again. 

I'd love to see a new album from these guys.
