Any fans of this metal band fronted by former bloodbound's singer urban breed?

I haven't noticed any topic relating to them on this board. Picked up their latest release mirror world a few days ago and plan on playing it this weekend. Hope it is good.

Urban Breed is a great singer, love his voice but I can't get into this band. I liked him much better in Tad Morose.

Loved the albums he did with Tad Morose. Haven't heard Serious Black yet tho.

The name makes me think of Nigel Tufnel from Spinal Tap saying "How much more black could it be?" Very Happy

I agree about him in Tad Morose, he's never matched that again.

Ordered their debut on amazon. This band reminds me of another great band, eden's curse, which no one seems to be familiar with.

Both Eden's Curse and Serious Black are quality but for me, like much of euro power metal, they are missing something. Groups like Blind Guardian, Helloween and Tad Morose have a heaviness that sets them apart.

i really like both SB albums. I still think UB best work is the Bloodbound debut.

How did you end up liking it?

I bought the debut yesterday, having never heard this band before. A local seller had it for cheap, and that lineup just seems awesome.

I'll post my impressions once I get to play it.

The debut is very good. Melodic metal as i like.

They have a new one out now, titled Magic. Did not really like the couple of samples i have heard but i guess it needs a more focused listen.

Magic is ok. I think it strays into pop music a little much for my taste.

I'm just now getting around to Serious Black. I'm digging it. I do prefer his time in Tad Morose. But Serious Black is no joke. Cool stuff!

it is good stuff. The first two are excellent. The new one is a little too soft for me but it still has its moments.

I just like Urban's vocals...it's definitely a melodic record.

Serious Black is a pretty dumb name for a band, to be honest.
