Got the Eternal Ryte - Anthology and DVD in the mail yesterday. Good stuff. The mastering does a lot of the sound on this one. This is an awesome collection containing the entire, remastered "World Requiem" album, along with both the band's demos and seven live tracks. Booklet includes photos, a bio and a write up by Heaven's Metal's Jonathan Swank. The first one hundred pre-orders were autographed as well and came with an exclusive DVD.

GREAT album! I missed them BITD, so other than the Metal Mardi Gras show, I was not familiar with them, but I'm loving this.

Pretty typical eighties hair metal, but these guys were much more rock oriented, as opposed to the bubble gum sound. The lead singer reminds me of Michael Sweet, but there are no wimpy keyboard ballads here.

Yup, pretty typical of what was coming out of Los Angeles during the height of the hair movement.

Sure they might have been typical, but they were not generic! They fit the mold of the glam metal movement, but for a Christian band - they were incredible!! The guitar playing was fantastic! Nothing typical about that! Bob Smith TORE it UP!!!
Their debut album came out in 1990, called "World Requiem". It's pretty hard to find, but you can get it on ebay at times.
They were actually a little late, but if they had came out in like 1986 or 1987, they would have been huge! At least in the league of Bloodgood or Barren Cross.

Never bought this anthology, have 3 demos on tape, the CD for World Requiem and have the complete performances from both His Festival 2 and Metal Midnite 2 shows on DVR.
Vince was Pastor of a church in Torrance and had a pretty good bible study group. Bobby went on to play in a rockabilly group, saw them play The Waters Club, but don't recall their name.
Is the sound quality that much better than the Pure Metal cd?

Listened to the CD today. Wasn’t sure what it would sound like. I knew they were Christian based. It really struck me how good they were. Some Dokken type guitar riffs. But the singer was the force of the band. I like a unique voice. Then the storytelling lyrics. Then the vocal melody blend. Roxx Gang gave me the same vibe. I highly suggest the CD “ World Requiem “
