| I honestly never even knew this band was still around. I remember the first release, and didn't much care for it, so I never went back. They have any original members still? If one wanted to give them a second chance, what album would you fans of the band recommend? | |

They've released 18 albums - 19 if you include their Digger album. They released three ablums in the 80s and then split up and formed a much lighter band called Digger which was a disaster. The one consistent member throughout the years is their lead singer Chris Boltendahl. Their bass player and drummer have been with the band since the 90s. They came back in 1993 with the album The Reaper which is very solid. They released a string of very good albums throughout the 90s and 2000s although they all are generally concept albums and most of them are about the Middle Ages. Their last two albums are not concept albums and are straight forward, anthemic, traditional metal. If that's your thing you might like what they have to offer. | |
