This album is almost 25 years old and it's still one of my favorite "jangle pop" albums.

I would say that it is an excellent return with Mike back in the band. If you like the albums he was previously on then you will definitely find a lot to like on XI.
It is my second fav album of the year just behind Megadeth's Dystopia - so far.

Good to know it's a great album!

I know I've told this story before but here it comes again.  When I was in college, there was a local bar band called Night Rider that my friends and I saw constantly.  We got to know them so well that we would help unload/load their equipment before/after they played.

One night they played a song called "Shoot, Shoot" for an encore.  As my roommate and I were helping them load their equipment into the van we asked them about that song because neither one of us had heard it before; we thought it might have been an original.  The lead guitarist told us it was a UFO song and suggested we check out the Strangers In the Night album.

We did and the rest is history.  To this day, this is the only UFO album I own and, unlike my opinion of most live albums, I think this one is a gem!
