A Distant Thunder actually had to tour as Helstar in order to get clubs to book them.

And I love The Burning Red. =)

Distant Thunder's album is pretty much Helstar under another name, anyway. I have no idea why James Rivera chose to release it under another name.

As for liking The Burning Red, to each his own.

It is. Not very popular among fans, either. Yeah, it sounds like a garage demo, but getting past that it's a kick-ass album.

Great song and great album.

The latest album is so good. Shame it seems to have been overlooked by most metal fans.

Agreed. Actually, Helstar in general is overlooked by metal fans.

this was a great album. sucks that metal fans overlook it in favor of Megadeth and Metallica. who released alright albums last year. but Helstar just took to the top as they always do.

The Helstar album (along with the Megadeth album) both made my Top 10 of 2016.

What do you think of it?

It's very good. I got a total of 10 cds over the last 2 days, and it's my favorite out of them. That could change once I give them all a few more spins but as far as first impressions go, it's the tops.
