| Anyone check out the new Down yet? Got it for $6 at best buy with my $5 off coupon. It seems excellent so far, more consistent than their first 2 albums. I have always thought their music suffered from muddy production, I know they are going for a vibe but think the songs would really shine with a little cleaning quality to the sound. |

| Huge Down fan, bought it the day it came out. I personally think Down 2 is one of the best albums ever made by anybody. | |

| Glad to see some else here digs em. Pepper Keenan is one of my favorite guitarists. I know a lot of people are turned off by Phil being the singing but he really shows a lot of range and soul with the Down material. My gf is really enjoying it and she greatly dislikes all his other work. Down II is great, I got mine signened by the whole band |

| I met Pepper at a Crowbar show in N.O. years ago & he is a great guy as well as a great guitarist. Have met Phil numerous times over the years & have never had a problem with him. Can't wait for Down 4!!!!!!! | |

| Better than the second, doesn't compare to the first. The first is a classic, it can't be touched. But all three are excellent, and this one is a few steps up from the last one, I think. And Phil sounds awesome again! |

It seems excellent so far, more consistent than their first 2 albums. I have always thought their music suffered from muddy production, I know they are going for a vibe but think the songs would really shine with a little cleaning quality to the sound. The first Down is by far the most consistant and the only one not plagued with muffled, muddy production. It's as loud and clear as it gets! Not to say i don't like the others but the first still rules. My GF bought the new one and i ended up just copying her's because i think the packaging is a waste of paper (a three fold case) but without a second disc. | |

| I'm only familiar with Stone The Crow - which I love - but how does the rest of Down sound? What's the style, tempo, feel? Any thoughts? thanks guys! | |

| Imagine later-era Corrosion of Conformity with the guy from Pantera singing. It's sorta like that, but different. The music and lyrics are pretty dark and somber. Good music to space-out to. There's a few up-beat numbers, but mostly slow-ish jams. | |
