I thought I would help further inundate the board with polls, so here you go.

Queensryche by a long shot. I've owned and listened to more of their albums than the other 2 bands in the poll. Been a fan since I first heard Mindcrime on a friend's borrowed cassette.
Dream Theater is kinda hit-n-miss with me. The few albums I have I enjoy, but there are lots of gaps in my collection with no immediate plans to remedy that.
Fates Warning has been relegated to the lone Chasing Time compilation. Always said someday I'll get more. Just haven't gotten around to it I guess.

Queensryche for me. They were phenomenal up to Empire.
I have the Fates Warning comp Chasing Time and that's really all I need from them.
I bought Dream Theater's Images And Words on the strength of Pull Me Under. I thought the rest of the album was ok but everything else I've heard from them has come across as rather boring.

I went with Dream Theater, who are the only one of the three for which I have all their studio albums.
Although who you go for really depends on which end of the spectrum you prefer. Dream Theater are prog because of their lengthy songs with complex instrumental passages, Queensryche are prog more because of their concepts and lyrics, and Fates Warning lie somewhere between the two.

This one was tough for me as I really love all 3 groups. So, I approached it from stand point of "if I could only listen to one for the rest of time and not the other two" rather than "how long I have been a fan and how certain songs move me." I chose Fates Warning b/c I feel there is more variety and quality in their catalog overall.

There's an unspeakably corny video for "Queen of the Reich", but I thought I'd spare everyone that abomination. As for Dream Theater, you can watch James LaBrie be fat on your own time

I would call them the "Big 3 disappointments" (IMHO)
Dig both Queensryche & Fates Warning out the gate till about 3 or 4 albums in. Then it's Dream Theater has never been able to keep my interest and on paper they should, but they don't.

Crimson glory aren't progressive! Even less so than queensryche, who in my mind don't qualify.
But they're an amazing underrated band.

Dream Theater. Queensryche would have been number 1, but they had a run of crap albums post promised land until they fired the vest. Fates Warning is just behind, always been a big fan of Fates.

Fates Warning. I love Queensryche too, especially the Warning and Rage for Order, but nothing beats Fates in my eyes.
And I'm only a fan of Images and Words & Awake by Dream Theater, so I couldn't in good conscience choose them. Though, I have been jamming the hell out of I&W recently. The lyrics have been hitting me hard this time around, I usually don't pay any mind to lyrics in prog-metal unless they stick out especially.
