Attention Cd-Tracker.com Users

I just went to the site to add some recent purchases to my list and saw this at the top of the homepage...

CD Tracker will be closing at the end of the year, Dec 31st, 2007.

Well, that sucks.
I had been thinking for quite a while about setting up a list of my collection there, guess there's no point now.

Yea, I suppose I'll be moving to a new site. Dang it. I was just getting up-to-date too.

I started one a long time ago, then discovered this website. I liked it because I could update from anywhere (home, office, laptop). I guess I'll have to go back to my excel list. *sigh*

I use a plain ol' Microsoft Word document... which reminds me, with all the trading I've been doing around here I've had stuff comin' in and goin' out in the past coupla weeks, so it needs an update!

I started with Word, but quickly realized that Excel would be better. I've got a tab for each letter. It keeps it from being 14 miles long, you know? Haha.

Haha, true, but I freakin HATE Excel... I just never got the hang of using it... I have to fill out a couple of Excel forms for work every week and I always screw'em up at least once and have to start over!

I uploaded a blank copy of what I use a while back. It's really easy to use until you start trying to get fancy, then it becomes a pain.

I've got my list on my little site and in an Excel spreadsheet. Sucks that tracker is going down, but it won't "hurt" me in any way.

You're all welcomed to musik-sammler.de It takes a lot of time, but it's well worth it + a large online database about different pressings etc.! - more than 140.000 items already (when I joined in may 2006, there were 35.000 different pressings listed); and more than 40.000 of it is metal + 30.000 rock !

Has anyone gone back to cd-tracker since the start of the new year? The site is still up, but there's been quite a change in content. It's safe for work (no porn or nakedness).

Okay, now that's just odd. How did they get from CD Tracker to "pro-gun stuff for pro-gun folks?"

That said, I wouldn't mind one of those "Wolverines" T-shirts they're selling. I loved the movie "Red Dawn" when I was a kid.

No, unfortunately not, for now. I don't understand much German either, but that doesn't matter, all you need to know is few basic words (just use some online translator) and that's it. You'll see that there's much more "under the roof" with this site, than it may look at the first glance
