Elder - Lore
I completely forgot about this band, my loss, because they've gotten a lot better. In fact, this album is kicking my ass. A little bit of everything 70s mixed into this one and it's heavy and raw as hell. A lot more than just Sabbath influence going on here.

I love the ratio of vocals (which are passable at best) to instrumental on this album. Most of the songs are over 10 minutes and generally there is about 2 minutes of vocal and 8 minutes of instrumental. Exactly the way I like it.

Yeah, I agree. It's OK but kind of bland and samey.

This release kicks - the intro of this song reminds me of a cold night - very windy - dry leaves blowing everywhere - and your in a graveyard looking for a certian grave - " When you stop to look into the future - when you try - to get into the past - another force one day will raise you - "

I remember these guys now (I had to look them up). Just couldn't get into the first album and can't remember the second. I heard these guys and Mars Red Sky at the same time and went with MRS because they sounded a lot better.
I'll check it out though.
