I may be seeing Laura Marling at the Orange Peel in Asheville the day after tomorrow. I'm listening to Short Movie right now in preparation, actually.

I'm sure Marling will put on a great show. She played here the week of my birthday but I had out of town guests so was unable to attend.

Saw Laura Marling tonight and she was fantastic as expected. She performed the entirety of her next album. The night was billed as an "intimate seated night" or something to that effect, which meant they brought some chairs from the bar downstairs and we sat in the crowd, haha. There was a no photography/video request from Laura and I didn't see any phones out during any of the performance (though I paid more attention to her and the band), which is a pleasant surprise. I don't like taking pictures at shows personally, I'd rather experience it wholly in the moment. Overall I had a great night. If you get the chance to see her, give it a go. Her voice is wonderful live.
Earlier I listened to her album Alas I Cannot Swim.
and now I'm jamming on Jackson Browne's Late for the Sky.
