| The singles from that album by Tears for Fears are great! And are certainly timeless tunes. But I think I prefer something off their debut album. The songs are generally darker and more haunting. Mad World, Change and Pale Shelter were all great singles from the debut.

If that's the one that goes - "oh o oh o oh o oh o" or something like that then I agree totally. I also LOVE that song from the mid-80's that had a line that went something like this "when good advice from friends is needed (can't remember the next) and then " hey, hey, hey, hey, HEY!!" LOL, does that ring a bell? Good call on Neverending Story! That song is "Fascination" by HUMAN LEAGUE....great tune.... _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| Some of the bands mentioned here (Manfed Mann, Henry Gross, Stories, etc.) have some real interesting rock buried under their hit collections.
Also I have to admit that I think Suite Madame Blue by Styx is one of the greatest songs ever made. I refuse to listen to the radio just to be sure I never get tired of that song. I still get chills when the guitar kicks in after all the build-up.
p.s.- Tears for Fears-The Hurting. It rules. | |

My sentiments exactly. What does it matter if someone thinks what I like is 'uncool'? As if I need their approval. I'm with you - I follow no trends either. I'm also with you in that I don't like modern country, modern R&B, and rap crap |
