Tampa Bay Lightning (Eastern Conference) vs. Chicago Blackhawks (Western Conference)
The Chicago Blackhawks have been as far as the Western Conference Finals five times in the past seven years, and this is their third Stanley Cup Finals appearance in that time frame. They won both times within this time frame, winning in 2010 against the Philadelphia Flyers and in 2013 against the Boston Bruins (their fourth and fifth Stanley Cups, respectively). However, in neither appearance did they win the Stanley Cup on home ice; they hope to win it at home this time. The Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup for the only time in 2004; that was their first Stanley Cup Finals appearance, and this is their first appearance since then. Chicago and Tampa Bay played against each other twice in the regular season. Tampa Bay won one game and Chicago won the other.
