I may be late to the game with these guys but I just purchased their S/T LP.
Really digging the album so far. A lot of traditional metal with some speed metal influences. Great vocals. Is anyone else into these guys?

I had some initial interest in these guys when they first popped-up on the scene, but when I couldn't find their album for a reasonable price, I kinda forgot about them. They also got a little lost in the shuffle with some of the other new wave of traditional heavy metal bands fighting for attention at the moment.
That songs sounds really good. I need to re-investigate these guys. Is this from an older release or do they have something new on the horizon?

FYI...Visit their website (http://spellcaster.us/) and go to the store. The new album is on sale!!
You can get their latest s/t cd for $5 + $2 US shipping for a limited time. It's in a crappy cardboard slipcase (or "LP-style slipcase" as they call it), but I'm willing to overlook that. Copies are showing up on ebay for $19.99
Act now, posers!!

Yes, I purchased their vinyl from their website. They also have cassettes available. Their S/T is the latest album. I don't have any of their previous work.

Ha, its a shame this band is selling crappy promo-slyle slipcase cds. I shall try to rectify that for them.

That would be nice if they could get the ol' Stormspell treatment. Get that first album re-released with the debut ep as a bonus. You always put out quality releases. Make it happen!!

We are already discussing a Stormspell pressing of the current album.
I need to ask, although I have to assume the first album is out of reach since the masters are owned by previous label.

Probably my favorite track off the album. Â I can't stop listening to these guys.
We've started working on a proper cd release. More news and release date to be announced shortly.
I've also asked about the debut EP and 1st album and the band would love to have those re-released. However, Heavy Artillery have resold the master usage rights to Earache and at the moment this is not possible. The band is working on a solution though, so it should happen sooner or later.

My copy arrived today. It's a nicely done CDR. The cardboard slipcase it's housed in probably cost more to produce. Anyway, if that's the kind of thing that galls you, well, I guess wait for the Stormspell release. For $7, what did you expect? On the plus side, you also get a spiffy black/silver logo sticker to put on your guitar case and show the world how underground and kvlt you are.
The music is top-notch, no matter what format you choose. Except cassette tapes. F**k them.

Their S/T album is pretty cheap on their bandcamp. THe album before that is pricey and pretty hard to find. It also has a different vocalist.

I have. It's better than the last one. The first 3 songs are awesome, and then it sorta trails off from there.

Nice review. Honest, but not scathing. I'll still be checking it out. I really liked their last one and I'm sure I'll get this one too at some point.

What happened to these guys? Completely different sound than their debut. Gone is the speed metal. They kinda remind me of Teramaze now, more progressive styling.
