There is a new Valkyrie album coming! F to the uck yeah!

Valkyrie pretty much sound like The Sword, though a lot doomier. They're from Virginia and formed the same year, so there's no copycat nonsense going on; they both just happen to sound similar, particularly in the vocal department.

Anyway, kick-ass band.

I have their s/t debut, but I don't recall being overly impressed with it. Not enough to get their next album anyway. Might have to revisit that one and see if it sparks an interest in this new one. I seem to recall the debut being a little too "dungeons & dragons" in the lyrics for my tastes.

It is definitely a bit more fantasy-based, yeah. Lyrics don't really bug me unless they're really bad.
