I'm going to be honest now, if this list was an album, I'd listen to it (well sometimes, if i'm in a very specific mood) but the fact is that Desmond Child has a gift for anthemic pop rock songs and the reason why so many on the bands you dig keep going back to him is because the cash keeps pouring in.
I know that some of you think he's the devil but you have to dig at least one of these. My vote goes to I Was Made For Lovin' You, as I've previously said it's one of the only Kiss songs I really love and I have done since the first time I ever heard it.

I voted other.
I liked Desmond Child's own band "Desmond Child and Rouge" where he teamed that pop sensibility with 3 female vocalists.

I said other also. My vote would go to "Who Wants to Be Lonely" off of Asylum

I voted "other." One of my favorites is "Hide Your Heart." The KISS version is my favorite.
I like most of the songs he wrote with the Scorpions on Humanity: Hour I. I'm also a big fan of the songs he wrote on Paul Stanley's Live to Win album.
Others include: Ratt--Givin' Yourself Away Ratt--One Step Away Ratt--Shame ShameShame Aerosmith--What it Takes Bon Jovi--Keep The Faith Dream Theater--You Not Me

I did nearly put this one down as I thought it was one of the only memorable songs on Animalize, but I could have made the whole poll with just Kiss songs or Aerosmith songs or Bon Jovi songs and there still would have been stuff left over so I tried to offer alternatives.

I voted Poison by Cooper. I'm only a casual Alice fan but if he had more songs like that i'd be all over them.

Check this track from the Desmond Child and Rouge debut. This album was more "disco" oriented than the follow up "Runners In The Night" but I still dig this track:
You can easily understand how he became the "hitmaker" of the stars.

"I Was Made For Loving You". I could listen to that on a continuous loop. I also like the other KISS songs mentioned. There was a challenge on Facebook to come up with a top 10 KISS songs list. "I Was Made For Loving You" was #2 on my list, "I've Had Enough (Into The Fire)" was #8 and "Who Wants To Be Lonely" was on my short list of songs that almost made it.

This guy has written hundreds of songs for dozens of artists, I tried to pick artists that folk on here dig (Ricky Martin was for you! ) Steve Vai didn't make the cut because I hadn't heard it and couldn't be bothered to look it up. I've listened to it now and I don't think it's great.
For some reason Devin really annoys me in this vid!
Funnily enough, I also left off one song that would feature very very highly on my personal DC list but I left it off because I figured it would get 0 votes. I love this song.

I really liked his collaboration with the Scorpions on 2007's "Humanity Hour I," particularly the title track...

I chose Cooper's "Poison", but could easily have picked any tune off of Trash.
At the top of my faves would also be the Dudes of Wrath tune from the Shocker soundtrack. I wish that "group" did an entire album like that.
I don't have any of these songs in my collection. But, if absolutely forced I guess I could still stomach "I Was Made For Lovin' You". But that's the type of song I only need to hear once every 15 years or so. I heard it on the radio about 3 years ago so I'm good for another decade.
