I love Orange Goblin, discovered them in 2005 when I started dipping my toe back into the metal scene after spending a decade mostly listening to jazz.

Been listening to a lot of different Wino projects. Went looking on here for some more information on them and discovered 2 or 3 threads on Orange Goblin. Took a chance and have really enjoyed what I have heard. Can't wait to get the rest of them. Thanks for the heads up.

My top albums for the year:
1. Judas Priest - Redeemer of Souls 2. Exodus - Blood in Blood Out 3. Overkill - White Devil Armory 4. Arch Enemy - War Eternal 5. Hammerfall - (R)Evolution 6. Accept - Blind Rage
That's probably it that captured my interest in 2014. For me 2014 was a strange year, whilst I experienced a lot of music majority of it was actually from years gone by - stuff that I hadn't listened to before or perhaps had no interest in initially.
I must also admit that I haven't bought an physical copy of an album in close to 2 years now. These days I use Spotify exclusively to listen to music so I don't pay very close attention to year when an album was released. I know in a forum that is very focused on collecting physical albums this is probably a very unpopular method of listening and experiencing music. Unfortunately, due to bills and mortgages I simply do not have sufficient means anymore to feed my physical album collection anymore. It sucks... I loved physical albums and I do miss the days when I could purchase 30 - 40 albums per week.
I am hoping to get back to collecting physical albums in the near future and hoping to start collecting vinyl. Prices here for physical albums, especially vinyl, are insane (a record can easily cost up to 60 - 70 dollars!).

I don't buy many "metal" albums because I'm not a "metalhead" but one I bought this year I think deserves a mention is Midnight Malice - "Proving Ground"
