U.D.O. - Decadent

U.D.O. just posted this on their Facebook page:

"U.D.O. album recording completed!

Udo just finished the work on the new U.D.O. album "Decadent". He is back from Denmark where the album got mastered by Jacob Hansen. Before the band spent many weeks in different studios (Double U Studio, Ibiza and Redhead Audio Productions in Wilhelmshaven) in order to record the best album of U.D.O. so far. The new album will be released January 23rd, 2015

Tracklist and album cover will be announced/revealed soon."

I hope it's as strong as Steelhammer.

Great news indeed. But they have been on turbo mode.

still haven't digested their last two albums.

anyways a new UDO cd is always welcomed and one of my most awaited releases for 2015.

I hope it's better than Steelhammer. Something about that album just failed to click for me. It felt kind of slapped together.

Actually both rev-raptor and steelhammer were kind of rushed.

something about those two that doesn't make me wanna come back to them that often.

Still it is a new UDO album so it is a must-have.

I really liked Rev-raptor, so I'm surprised you'd link those two. I know it gets flak for having the "new" metal production on it, but I thought Udo pulled off that sound really well and the band was on fire. Even when that album plays in the background, I find my head wanting to bob on the choruses - a few songs in and I'm ready to break furniture.

So this will be what, the 47th U.D.O. studio album? I honestly have lost count.

I hate Rev-Raptor's production. Were the guitars even plugged into amps? It sounds like something bored androids would record. Steelhammer sounded much more natural and less like Skynet made it.
