You already have my two favorites (debut and Odyssey)
I think Trilogy should be your next purchase.

Either Trilogy or Marching Out.

I like Marching Out more than Trilogy, but you can't go wrong with either album.

Marching Out and then Trilogy. MO is a contender with Odyssey as my favourite Malmsteen record. You can't beat songs like "I Am A Viking" and "Don't Let It End".

Wow - I'm surprised - I thought maybe he released something - lets say - in the last 15 years - that was - well - better than his early material - NOT Alcatraz

I thought that Facing The Animal was pretty good, but that is from 1997. I do have Unleash The Fury(2005). I just haven't listened to it that much.

I love odyssey. JLT is one of my favourite singers.
I also love the one he did with ripper owens. Damnation game is such a memorable track.

Facing the Animal is the only Yngwie album I've ever heard. It was an old Columbia House pickup in high school. I thought it was an amazing album.

Bought this release - it's all instrumental - that's his wife - on the cover - says she's executive producer too - lol It's an okay release - if you listen closely - you can hear all his previous riffs from decades ago - for a snowy night - or very late at night.

Same here, brothers, I grabbed that one back in the day and loved it. As for your next pick up, Glower, I would go either Animal, Trilogy, or Eclipse. If you want a latter day offering, then try Unleash the Fury or Perpetual Flame with Ripper Owens on vox.

The only two Yngwie CD's I own are these:
I've thought of picking up Unleash the Fury with Ripper, but always found something more interesting instead.

Ripper wasn't singing on Unleash the Fury.
I only have one Yngwie album with Ripper behind the mic. It's Perpetual Flame and it's one hell of an album. Here's a great song:

I kind of gave up on Malmsteen and Perpetual Flame was the last album i bought by him.
But i still like to revisit those old albums from time to time.

This thread just reminded me that I haven't bought the last 2 Malmsteen albums. The previous one, "World On Fire" was only available as an import and was super pricey; while the new Blues based album, "Blue Lightning" didn't really impress me too much. I saw it week of release but didn't want to pay $20 for a single disc that I wasn't gonna give much spin time to.

Listened to this song on the way in to work. Reminds me a little of Christmas season - winter. Thought it was interesting enough to share.
